In an escalating showdown with Attorney General William Barr, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee in Congress are preparing SUBPOENAS to see the FULL REPORT from Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Russia's interference in the 2016 election.

The Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee members, chaired by Congressman Jerry Nadler, are demanding to see the nearly 400 page report - UNREDACTED - by April 2nd.

In a letter to Congress on Friday, Barr said he would send only a REDACTED version of the report with details of grand jury evidence and other details removed, aiming for mid-April.

Source tell Reuters to committee will vote on issuing the subpoenas Wednesday, demanding not only the full report but also the underlying evidence from Mueller's inquiry.

The Mueller report has not been seen by anyone outside of Barr and the Justice Department since Mueller delivered it on March 22.

Barr wrote a 4-page summary of the key findings, saying Mueller had concluded Trump's campaign did not conspire with Russia in the 2016 campaign.

Barr himself - not Mueller - decided President Trump's actions during the probe did not merit charges of obstruction of justice.

Democrats want to weigh that conclusion against the evidence Mueller gathered in his 2-year investigation.
