Typhoon Mangkhut: Toll in Philippines climbs to 49; storm rips through Hong Kong before hitting mainland China

Hong Kong weather authorities issued their maximum alert for Typhoon Mangkhut, which hit the city with gusts of more than 230 kmph and left over 100 injured.
