In another blow for the Congress party, its candidate from the Indore constituency, Akshay Kanti Bam, withdrew his nomination for the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections 2024, announced District Election Officer Ashish Singh. Accompanied by BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola, Bam visited the Collector's office to formalise the withdrawal of his candidature. Following this action, Akshay Bam promptly joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), according to Madhya Pradesh Minister and BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya.
