Jabalpur formerly known as Jubbulpore, the official spelling until 2006) is a tier 2 city in the Madhya Pradesh state of India. Jabalpur is the Cultural,Judicial and Armament Capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to the 2011 census, it is the third-largest urban agglomeration in Madhya Pradesh and the country's 38th-largest urban agglomeration. It is known for the Dhuandhar Falls and the white Marble Rocks at Bhedaghat. It is generally accepted that the game of Snooker originated here. Jabalpur is one of the 100 smart cities of India.
