Hindu Makkal Katchi

Hindu Makkal Katchi (HMK), literally meaning Hindu People's Party, also pronounced as Indu Makkal Katchi (IMK), is a right-wing Hindu nationalist party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The party also works for the welfare of Hindus in Sri Lanka. The party believes that "Hinduism is not a religion, it is a way of living" and its objective is to promote Hindutva ideology in Tamil Nadu.
