Vernon Jones

Vernon Jones is an American politician from Georgia. Jones is a former member of the Georgia House of Representatives and Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb County, Georgia (2001-2009). He unsuccessfully ran for the United States Senate (2008), United States House of Representatives (2010), and DeKalb County Sheriff (2014). A former Democrat, Jones became a Republican in January 2021 after endorsing Donald Trump for re-election and speaking at the 2020 Republican National Convention.
