In a rematch of Super Bowl LVII two years prior, the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Philadelphia Eagles defeated the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Kansas City Chiefs 40â22, securing their first Super Bowl championship since Super Bowl LII seven years earlier, and second overall. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, who scored three touchdowns, completed 17 of 22 attempts for 221 yards, and set the Super Bowl record for quarterback rushing yards with 72, was named Super Bowl MVP.
