In a significant escalation of tensions, Iran carried out its first-ever direct attack on Israel, unleashing over 300 explosive drones and missiles on Saturday (April 13).

Termed as "Operation Truthful Promise" by Iran, the strikes were reportedly in retaliation to an Israeli attack on the Iranian embassy in Syria earlier in the month.
