Minister moved to tears with plight of Sudan refugees
The UK is almost doubling its aid to Sudan, to 89 million pounds, as the terrible effects of the war there continue to escalate.
Foreign Office minister Andrew Mitchell visited Chad’s border with Darfur to see for himself what threatens to become the worst humanitarian crisis in the world.
During his time there Mr Mitchell gave an emotional interview to Channel 4 News International Editor Lindsey Hilsum.
