Maldives Jumhooree Party (JP) leader Qasim Ibrahim has urged Maldivian President Mohammed Muizzu to issue a formal apology to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian people.

In his statement, Ibrahim emphasised the importance of maintaining positive relationships with neighbouring countries and refraining from statements that could strain diplomatic ties.

He commended President Solih for issuing a Presidential Decree last year that banned the "India Out" campaign, citing it as a necessary step to fulfil the nation's obligations.
