UK and EU agree Gibraltar border deal

The UK has agreed a deal with the EU for a fluid Gibraltar-Spain border, avoiding checks on people crossing.

Gibraltar and Spanish officials will carry out joint checks at the airport, while goods will move freely across the land border.

Foreign Secretary David Lammy called it “historic” after years of post-Brexit talks.
