Rubio Urges ‘Calm’ as Pakistan Launches ‘Bunyan al-Marsus’, India Hits Back With Airbase Strikes

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio urged de-escalation in the escalating India-Pakistan conflict after speaking to Pakistan Army chief Asim Munir and Indian foreign minister S.

Jaishankar.

This came as Pakistan launched ‘Operation Bunyan al-Marsus’ with airstrikes on India, triggering a powerful counter by the Indian Air Force on three Pakistani airbases.

President Trump also stressed urgency for calm.

The situation remains highly volatile with both nations trading heavy fire.

The U.S. has offered assistance to begin diplomatic talks and prevent further bloodshed.
