Trump Slaps Sanctions on ICC Over 'Baseless' Probe Targeting US, Israel, Freezes Assets of Court

President Trump signed an executive order sanctioning the ICC for "abusing its power" after it issued arrest warrants for Israeli PM Netanyahu.

The order freezes ICC officials' assets and imposes travel bans, citing “illegitimate actions” against the US and Israel.

Trump’s move follows a White House meeting with Netanyahu, where they discussed Gaza and regional policies.

The ICC's probe into alleged war crimes in Gaza and Afghanistan has faced US opposition, with Trump previously sanctioning the court in 2020.

The Biden administration later lifted those sanctions.
