Government introduce stricter laws around homeschooling

The government is introducing a landmark bill no longer allowing England's most vulnerable children to be eligible for homeschooling.

The Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, to be introduced to Parliament on Tuesday, comes on the same day Sara Sharif's killers will be sentenced.

Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson said the legislation "will make sure we do a lot more to protect children and keep them safe".
