Double Jeopardy: Pensioner Jailed for at least 25 years

Has been sentenced to life imprisonment on Friday.

Dennis McGrory, 78 now, and 28 when he committed the crime, was given a life sentence with a minimum term of 25 years and 126 days in prison.

McGrory had gone to the home of 15-year-old Jacqui Montgomery in Islington, north London to try and track down his ex-partner.

He then sexually assaulted, stabbed and strangled Jacqui and ripped out a page containing her aunt’s address from her diary.
