House GOP to Vote to Get Rid of IRS

House GOP to Vote, to Get Rid of IRS.

Fox News reports that House Republicans will soon vote on the Fair Tax Act.

The bill seeks to abolish the IRS and do away with national income tax, which would be replaced with a national consumption tax.

The decision to vote on the bill was part of a deal between the House Freedom Caucus and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

The Fair Tax Act eliminates the tax code, replaces the income tax with a sales tax, and abolishes the abusive Internal Revenue Service.
