Sturgeon: I will never give up on Scottish independence

Nicola Sturgeon says she will "never give up on Scottish democracy" as she announces a vote on Scotland's independence will be held on 19th October next year if the Supreme Court allows.

Speaking at the SNP conference in Aberdeen, Scotland's first minister accuses the UK government of "utterly failing" in its duty to help the public face a cost-of-living crisis and that it has taken the Conservative Party "just three weeks" to realise Liz Truss is a "disaster".
