AFSPA application in Nagaland, Arunachal to continue for 6 more months | Oneindia news *News

The Union Home Ministry on Friday extended the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA) in 12 districts of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh, and some parts of five other districts of the two northeastern states for another six months so that the armed forces could continue their anti-insurgency operations.

According to a notification issued by the Union Home Ministry, the AFSPA will be extended for six months beginning October 1st.
