Fast and Furious no more? Bangkok's infamous No.8 bus

Bangkok's infamous No.8 route buses -- or "Pink Devils" as locals call them -- are often seen roaring down the busy streets in the Thai capital, furiously undertaking tuk-tuks, cars and motorbikes, narrowly avoiding collisions.

But a succession of high-profile No.8 deaths in recent years brought calls for reform and now new firms are overhauling the system, promising an improved service and replacing the "hot" buses with electric vehicles.
