Truss supporter Kwarteng welcomes Sunak ‘U-turn’
Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng says he is “very pleased” that Conservative leadership candidate Rishi Sunak has “reversed” his position on VAT on energy bills.
Supporters of Mr Sunak argue that the former chancellor has not performed a U-turn by pledging to scrap VAT on energy bills if prices keep rising.
