DeSantis' Law Barring Critical Race Theory To Take Effect in Florida

DeSantis' Law, Barring Critical Race Theory, To Take Effect in Florida.

ABC News reports Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has seemingly succeeded in his efforts to quell race education in the state.

The Stop WOKE Act will ban any training focused on diversity or race in education and the workplace.

The act passed easily through the state's GOP-heavy legislature.

Soon after, a federal judge declined to block it.

The law will go into effect on July 1.

Those in favor of the Stop WOKE Act are against the discipline of critical race theory in education.

WOKE is an acronym for "Wrongs to Our Kids and Employees.".

Critical race theory is the study of racism and how it has shaped the lives of non-white citizens of the United States.

In recent memory, it has been a talking point for conservatives.

As he signed the bill into law, DeSantis spoke of defending Florida from the woke agenda.

In Florida, we will not let the far-left woke agenda take over our schools and workplaces.
