British Government Approves , Julian Assange’s Extradition to US.

Fox News reports that the extradition was approved by Priti Patel, British Home Secretary, on June 17.

...The U.K courts have not found that it would be oppressive, unjust or an abuse of process to extradite Mr. Assange, U.K. Home Office, via statement.

The approval follows an April ruling that determined Assange could be sent to America.

Fox News reports the U.S. requested Assange's extradition so he could stand trial on espionage and computer misuse charges.

U.S. prosecutors allege that the WikiLeaks co-founder aided Chelsea Manning, a U.S. Army intelligence analyst, in stealing military files.

It is also alleged that Assange endangered lives by publishing those files on WikiLeaks.

Assange has fought extradition to the U.S. for years.

He has 14 days to file an appeal, which his legal team is expected to do
