Foreign Affairs Committee: Govt failed over Afghanistan

Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee Tom Tugendhat says the senior leadership of the Foreign Office and the senior Civil Service "failed" in its preparation and response over the Afghanistan crisis and withdrawal of UK allies, damaging the UK's interests.

He speaks after his team's inquiry found the withdrawal from Afghanistan was a "disaster" and a "betrayal".
