'Sonification' of the black hole at the centre of the Perseus galaxy cluster

Since 2003, it’s been associated with sound, because astronomers discovered that pressure waves sent out by the black hole caused ripples in the cluster’s hot gas that could be translated into a note - the lowest note in the universe.

The note emitted is one that humans cannot hear some 57 octaves below middle C.
