Emmanuel Macron Is Reelected As France’s President

Emmanuel Macron Is Reelected , As France’s President.

CNBC reports that on April 24, Macron secured 58.54% of the country's vote to remain president of France.

Far-right contender Marine Le Pen garnered 41.46% of the vote.

Le Pen has seemingly made headway for her party compared to the 2017 election in which Macron won 66.1% of the vote compared to Le Pen's 33.9%.

Political analysts think this may indicate trouble for Macron in the future.

The actual closeness, relative closeness of the vote and the fact that [Marine] Le Pen got over 40%, I think that’s a damning indictment on the state of French politics and perhaps actually the state of inequality and living standards across Europe, Julian Howard, head of multi-asset solutions at asset management firm GAM, to CNBC's 'Squawk Box Europe'.

As Le Pen conceded defeat Sunday night, she also stated, "We have nevertheless been victorious.".

The ideas we represent have reached new heights in this second round of presidential elections.

With more than 43% of the vote, the results represent a striking victory.

We are more determined than ever.

And our desire to defend the French is even more strengthened.

Today, I have no resentment or grudge, Marine Le Pen, via 'The Guardian'.

A thousand times, we have been buried, and a thousand times, history proved wrong those who projected or hoped for our disappearance.

In this defeat, I couldn't help but feel a sort of hope, Marine Le Pen, via 'The Guardian'.
