The European Union accuses Belarus of flying migrants in and then helping them cross the border into the EU via Poland and other member states.
Many of them have died from hypothermia or exhaustion along the way.
Those that make it to Germany often end up at a reception center in the border town of Eisenhüttenstadt.
DW went there to speak to them about their journey.
