Singer mistook cancer for bump caused by tight “dancing boots”

A singer who thought a lump on her foot was caused by her “dancing boots” said she was so isolated by her age that she felt “like an alien” when she was told she had cancer and could lose her leg.Enkay Rockson, 25, was at a WizKid concert with friends at London’s O2 in May 2018 when she noticed a strange pain and a bump on the side of her right foot, which she attributed to dancing in new boots, which were tight and uncomfortable.Dismissing the swelling, which she thought was an aggravated bruise, it was not until months later in February 2019 – following various doctors’ appointments and scans after it refused to disappear – that Enkay, then 22, discovered she had a clear cell sarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer.
