Saved for daughters' weddings, MP man donates Rs 2 lakh to meet oxygen demand

A father from Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh has donated Rs two lakh, which he saved for his daughters' weddings, to local administration to meet the rising demand of oxygen for COVID-19 patients.

Champa Lal Gurjar had decided to conduct lavish marriage ceremonies of his two daughters scheduled for April 30.

But with fresh restrictions imposed in the state in view of the 2nd wave of COVID-19, he was forced to the keep the celebrations limited.

However, after consulting with his 'Gurudev' and seeing the severe shortage of oxygen for COVID-19 patients, he donated Rs 1 lakh each to two hospitals in Neemuch.
