Cocoon exhibition organised to boost silk industry in Manipur

A five-day-long 'Cocoon Buyers and Sellers Meet cum Exhibition 202l' is being held at Project Management Complex in Sangaipat.

Sericulture Minister Awangbow Newmai inaugurated the exhibition.

The minister also handed over two-wheelers to 35 selected agents for utilization during the door to door service to the semi farmers/beneficiaries.

Products including dress materials made from different types of silk and artifacts made from cocoons are on display at the exhibition along with the cocoons brought from across the state.
