Patna hospital issues death certificate to alive COVID patient

In a major goof-up, authorities at Patna Medical College and Hospital issued a death certificate of alive COVID-19 patient.

Chunnu Kumar, aged 40 was admitted after apparently suffering from brain haemorrhage.

PMCH issued the death certificate and his relatives were informed that he had passed away on April 11 due to Covid-19.

Kavita Devi, wife of the patient said, "We were informed that he had died.

But when I saw his face at the crematorium, I found that it was not his body".

Talking about the same, PMCH superintendent Dr IS Thakur said, "Stern action will be taken against those found guilty."
