Bengaluru administration gears up to ramp up vaccination drive

As second wave of coronavirus grips country, COVID infections are on uphill.

In order to curb the spread, Bengaluru administration has come up with micro plant ward-wise module to ramp up vaccination to 75,000 - 1,00,000 per day.

"In Bengaluru, we have identified apartment complexes ward-wise, mapped with cold-chain points, and requested private hospitals to create sub-centres with facilities for vaccination.

We're trying to cover 3,300 apartment complexes.

We have also identified slums for the creation of vaccination centres.

We need to ramp up our vaccination to 75,000 - 1,00,000 per day in the city," said Special Commissioner P Rajendra Cholan.
