Indian Army soon to get first batch of trained women soldiers

The Corps of Military Police (CPM), Neelsandra witnessed the Basic Military and Advanced Provost Training that was given to the first-ever batch of women soldiers of the Indian Army.

It included training in firing at the Iblur Firing Range in Bengaluru.

The Corps of Military Police (CPM) has become the first in the Indian Army to recruit women in its rank and file.

The training of the first batch of 99 Women Military Police had commenced on Jan 6, 2020.

However, more than 4,000 women had applied for the CPM training in the recent rally held by Indian Army.
