‘To serve the nation’: IAF officers ask more women to join armed forces

Indian Air Force (IAF) officers asked more women to joined the armed forces.

IAF women officers said that families should support women in joining the armed forces.

Over 9,000 women are serving as officers in defence forces.

Women officers are a source of inspiration for others joining forces.

Wing commander Shweta Batra, Logistics Branch, IAF, said, “I belong to middle-class family where we dream of becoming doctor and engineer and we forget that we can also be in the armed forces.

I chose this because I wanted to be in the uniform and serve the nation.

I believe attitude makes a lot of difference, whoever wants to join are most welcome.” She added, “This place is best if any women wants to choose to be in armed forces.” Watch the full video for more.
