Watch: Bengal sweet shop's political 'sandesh' ahead of assembly elections

The fight for elections in Bengal has reached sweet shops, capturing the mood of the season.

Popular retailers are churning out new delicacies with two slogans written on them.

Balaram Mallick Radharaman Mallick has launched sandesh with slogans written on them.

'Khela Hobe' is written on white-green sandesh, 'Jai Shri Ram' sandesh is in white-orange.

โ€œWhenever there is any big event coming, we introduce special sweets.

With elections coming, we thought of making sweets with slogans,โ€ Sudip Mallick, owner of Balaram Mallick Radharaman Mallick Sweets retail chain, said.

'Khela Hobe' (Game On) is a slogan given by TMC as scores of its leaders switched to BJP.

On the other hand, โ€˜Jai Shri Ram' - BJP's popular slogan has turned into the party's battle-cry ahead of the polls.

Elections to 294-member West Bengal Assembly will begin on March 27.

The eight-phase polling will conclude on April 29, results on May 2.

Bengal is likely to see a triangular contest with TMC, Congress-Left alliance and BJP in the fray.
