Fourteen people, including eight women and a child, were killed and four others injured when a tempo traveller van-truck collided in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh on February 14.
The incident took place in Hyderabad-Bengaluru national highway (NH-44).
The van, which was carrying 18 people, hit the road divider at a high speed, jumped over the divider and collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the other side of the road.
The deceased include eight women, five men and a minor.
The injured were shifted to hospital.
Following the collision, the van was crushed under the wheels of the truck and was dragged for a few metres before coming to a halt.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of 14 people in the road accident.
