Protesters congregated outside the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza on February 8 to announce a schedule of protest activities after authorities in Ramallah have cut the salaries of released prisoners.

Protesters congregated outside the Red Cross headquarters in Gaza on February 8 to announce a schedule of protest activities after authorities in Ramallah have cut the salaries of released prisoners.

Protests, sit-ins and seminars will take place over the next several days to raise awareness.

Mohammed Abu Jalalah of the Prisoner's Committee explained: "We demand justice and equality for the return of our salaries according to the Palestinian law and with retroactive effect, and an apology to the families of the prisoners and the wounded who were attacked, and to double their salaries who were cut off, these martyrs."
