Japan determined to hold Olympics and Paralympics

Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga has pledged that the Tokyo Olympicswill go ahead this summer.

The Games were postponed last year because of thecoronavirus pandemic, and polls have indicated the Japanese public want theevent to be cancelled amid continuing concern over the spread of the virus.
