Watch: How Army tracks, eliminates terrorists in J&K, explained by top officer

Lt Gen BS Raju, General Officer Commanding of Srinagar-based Chinar Corps, revealed how security forces track and eliminate terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said that the process starts with collection of 'specific' and 'quality' intelligence.

Subsequently, specific searches are carried out in areas where terrorists are believed to be hiding.

Inconvenience to residents of these areas is kept at a minimum.

When contact with terrorists is established, they are given a chance to surrender.

If they refuse and open fire, they are neutralised.
