Master Plan for Aging Release

New this morning... our state now has an "official" roadmap for moving forward in addressing an aging california.

California leads the nation in the number of people over the age of 65.- the director of the california department of aging has unveiled the state's "master plan for aging."

Governor newsom called for estabalishing such an agenda shortly after taking office.

The plan - based on a years' worth of data gathering... outlines five major areas of focus: housing, health as we age, inclusion; not isolation, caregiving that works for people and making aging more affordable.
