Covid: What led to DCGI nod of Covishield & Covaxin in India? IMCR DG explains
ICMR DG Dr. Balram Bhargava explained the DCGI nod to two Covid-19 vaccines in India.
Dr. Bhargava spoke on the various studies done over Covishield and Covaxin.
Covishield Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine which is manufactured at Pune’s Serum Institute of India (SII).
Covishield was the first vaccine in India to get the DCGI nod.
Soon after, DCGI approved Covaxin.
