Farm group from Haryana meets Agriculture minister, backs Centre's new laws

A group of farmers met Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar to lend support to three new farm laws.

The farmers from Haryana also appealed Tomar not to repeal the legislation.

Their demand comes at a time when thousands of farmers have called for a Bharat Bandh.

The nationwide blockade on December 8 has been called in protest against the Centre's farm laws.

Farmers have vowed to intensify their agitation if union govt does not repeal the laws.

This is the first time since agitation began when some farmers have come out in support.

The farmers represent Har Kisan, an organisation of 116 farmer-owned agri enterprises.

Farmers met Tomar and asked for another meeting with more members from the organisation.
