Has announced the long-awaited release of ‘Wonder Woman 1984.’.

The movie will debut in the United States on December 25 in both theaters and on HBO Max.

HBO Max subscribers will be able to watch the movie at no extra cost for one month following its initial release.

Ann Sarnoff, CEO of WarnerMedia Studios, said they decided on this release model in order to “super-serve [their] fans.” .

We realize that a lot of consumers can’t go back to the movies due to the pandemic, so we also want to give them the option to see 'Wonder Woman 1984' via our HBO Max platform.

Director Patty Jenkins also released a statement on Twitter, saying the “time has come” to release ‘Wonder Woman 1984.’.

At some point you have to choose to share any love and joy you have to give, over everything else … We hope you enjoy our film as much as we enjoyed making it.

The ‘Wonder Woman’ sequel has seen its fair share of delays, as it was originally due for release in late 2019.
