Why Britons will get an extra bank holiday in 2022

Britons will get an extra bank holiday to celebrate the Queen's platinum jubilee.

In February 2022, the Queen will have been on the throne for 70 years and there are big plans to celebrate.

There's likely to be a mass tree planting project, called the Queen's canopy, and there will be a once in a generation show.

The Queen hopes as many people as possible will be able to take part in the celebrations.

One bank holiday will be moved and another added to give Britons a four day weekend in June 2022.
