Covid-19: Will Greater Manchester’s intensive care units be overwhelmed?

The Government has said tougher coronavirus restrictions are needed in GreaterManchester because the region’s intensive care capacity could be overwhelmedby Covid-19 within weeks.

But leaders in the area were angry about theGovernment’s use of “selective statistics” and said the area’s system cancope.
