Stubble burning: Delhi, NCR states to appear in SC; Kejriwal’s ‘decomposer’ try

The Delhi government set up decomposer centres to prevent stubble burning.

CM Arvind Kejriwal visited Kharkhari Nahar village in South West Delhi where he observed the working of the centralized decomposer system.

The chief minister was accompanied by other leaders from his party.

Delhi govt aims to use the decomposers in farms to prevent stubble burning.

The aim is to fight stubble burning amid coronavirus and reduce pollution.

The centralized system is cost-effective, uses capsules and is simple in execution.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court called chief secretaries of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana up over stubble burning.

The apex court will be hearing a petition filed by two young environment activists.

The petitions and two applications on stubble burning will be heard on October 16.
