Bengal Safari Park in Siliguri re-opens for visitors

The Bengal Safari Park in West Bengal's Siliguri on October 02 re-opened for visitors.

The park was shut down for over six months to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Park authority has imposed some precautionary measures to reduce the risk of contagion.

Speaking to ANI, Director of the park, Badal Debnath, said, "We are taking all precautions against COVID-19.

Only the Elephant safari will remain closed as we will not be able to maintain social distancing there." Bengal safari is spread over 700 acres of forest land.

Park offers tigers, mixed herbivores, elephants, leopard and Asiatic black bear.
