Self-Taught Artist Creates Amazing Leaf and Paper Art

These stunning artworks are painstakingly cut from leaves and paper.

Kanat Nurtazin, from Kazakhstan, trims the materials to reveal scenes and popular characters.

The self-taught mixed media artist explains: “I had no education background in arts previously, but one of my favourite methods is cutting drawing on a tree leaf.

I try to give leaves a second life.

Usually, it takes up to 6 hours for one leaf cut-out.

I've spent days and nights upgrading my skills."
