Illegal liquor worth Rs 10 lakh seized in Meerut

The Excise department in Meerut seized 217 boxes of illegal liquor worth approximately around Rs 10 lakh on September 24.

The illegal liquor was being transported from Haryana to Meerut.

"We have seized 217 boxes of illegal liquor worth approximately around Rs 10 lakh which was transported here from Haryana.

FIR will be registered in the case.

We are trying to find culprits and will soon arrest them," an excise officer said.

Further investigation is underway in the matter.
