Pandemic Drives Millions Of Americans To Cut The Cable TV Cord

Even though the pandemic is keeping people home more than ever, the traditional pay TV industry is still taking a major hit.

According to Business Insider, cable, satellite, and telecom TV providers are losing the most subscribers ever.

By the last day of 2020, 31.2 million US households will have cut the cable TV cord in aggregate.

And by 2024, more than a third of US households will have followed suit.

That leaves 77.6 million US households with cable, satellite, or telecom TV packages, down 7.5% year-over-year.

That's the biggest drop of its kind.

Ever.
