Ad lib here's a live look from our c-h-i memorial camera at lee pointe from the e-p-b fiber optics weather cam network.

The white house and congress to extend corona-virus relief.

When we come back, hear from airline employees that are hoping to avoid mass job cuts.

"you're watching news 12 at 11.

Your news now."

Airline executives are in washington, pleading with the white house and congress to extend corona- virus relief.

Airline employees are hoping to avoid mass job cuts if government funding is allowed to run out this month.

Kris van cleave is at washington's reagan national airport.

) save our jobs, save our jobs in 12 days---these flight attendants rallying on capital hill will be out of work.

Furloughed unless congress extends its $25 billion dollar airline payroll support program.

-nats-"$25bn no.

Real people who need to feed our families" pepole like flight attendant arnold ramirez.

Seen in this stunning photo taken as he learned he's losing his dream job.

) it felt like a punch in the stomach the arizona native is among the 19-thousand at american airlines alone who will be laid off or furloughed in october.

He thought he had a backup plan working retail...but just learned that store is closing and he'll lose that job too.

) i just feel like everything is getting taken away from me ) i just hope it gets better soon because i would really love to keep my job.

I, i just i have no words for that .

Passenger traffic remains down about 65%.

U-s carriers lost 11 billion dollars in the second quarter alone.

As many as 76 thousand airline workers could be furloughed next month and service to cities nationwide slashed ) monica kolb is a widowed mother of two, who became a flight attendant after her husband died of cancer six years ago.

) i was setting myself for a, for a new -- a new way, i guess.

A blank canvas to paint my my story again, you know?

As a single mom trying to find that happiness that i thought i had lost.

Last year she beat breast cancer.

Now she's at risk of losing her family's livelihood and health insurance.

) : is this scarier than battling cancer?

) so although as scary as this might be, i still have hope.

Critics argue - one- airlines were already given taxpayer money and - two - they're bracing for up to a four year recovery so a six-month extension to this program might not actually save any jobs in the long run.

For fliers, no extension likely means longer travel times and fewer options as the airlines will start cutting routes particularly in smaller and medium size cities.

Coming up next, angela tells us why i'm officially putting all my falcons gear into storage until next year.

So far, the titans are meeting those.

The titans beat jacksonville today -- moving tennessee to 2- and-oh -- which is the first time that's happened in 12 years.

However, i didn't say the two wins were pretty.

Titans offense coming out of the gate hot.

What a day for smith.

Two touchdowns -- pick him up on fantasy waivers this week, 7-0 titans === tennessee has a 14 point lead at half.

Ryan tannehill: "you got to find a way to win.

Not every game is going to be all pretty in the nfl.

It's a tough league, and the teams that can find a way to grind out a win in close games are usually the teams that are going to win a lot of games.

So i'm proud of the way our guys battled."

The only thing we can do is control what we do moving forward.

Only three golfers in history have won both the u.s. amateur, the u.s. open -- and an ncaa tournament.

Jack nicklaus - tiger words - and as of today, bryson dechambeau.

Before this year, dechambeau hadn't cracked the top 15 in any major tournament.

He finished tied for fourth at the pga last month, and he used that momentum into today's final round of the u.s. open.

Newly bulked up bryson not the only one on a hot streak.

Look at this from former baylor red raider harris english.

A sand save..

For birdie!!

English finished fourth at three over -- his best finish in a major tournament.

-- trickles in the par on 18 for a six shot victory -- his first major championship dedicated to his parents.

Bryson dechambeau: "we had some very, very difficult times, but every day, they always wanted the best for me and always gave me the opportunity to go golf, go practice, and go get better.

This one's for my parents.

It's for mike shy.

It's for chris.

It's for my whole team.

All the work, all the blood sweat and tears that we put into it.

It just means the world to me."
